Timber Floors R Us has a great range of pre-finished engineered flooring which offers the same beauty and warmth as a traditional solid timber floor. Quality pre-finished engineered flooring is constructed with multi-layer cross ply construction, resulting in a strong and stable floor that can be installed over any existing sub-floor. This type of flooring is constructed with the top layer being 4mm thick of the species you choose and is bonded to a stable solid hardwood core. It is also a tongue & groove system and all boards are end matched. The surface has 7 coats of UV treated acrylic lacquer, this avoids the mess and fumes of sanding and polishing on site. You can also have an additional coat of solvent based polyurethane which is applied to the pre-finished existing top coat, this will greatly improve the hardness of the coat making it much more wear resistant to house hold traffic, plus it will bring out the natural colour and grain which really enhances the nature beauty just like any polished hardwood floor. This product is an excellent option for those who havn't the time to have a solid timber floor acclimatise plus having to go through the longer time frames that come with the installation sanding and polishing that is required.
